Getting Married at Grains Bar
Gather family and friends to celebrate the start of a lifetime of happiness. A marriage ceremony is a joyous event that should be celebrated with those dearest to you. Enjoy yours in a venue ideally suited to such a special occasion. Our ceremony rooms are the perfect backdrops for your wedding. We can seat 60 people in the upstairs ceremony room & outdoor ceremony area, 90 in the beautiful reception room which is later transformed into the wedding suite. Each room is filled with character and charm, We provide white chivari chairs, and both rooms can be decorated easily to suit your own personal wedding style or theme. The price to hire one of our ceremony rooms is £150.00, you can organise your own registrar through OMBC Chadderton registrars office. If you prefer the outdoors you can get married outside surrounded by the Saddleworth landscapes. We have a beautiful outdoor ceremony area set in the gardens and a beautiful back drop countryside of Saddleworth.
Capture your big day with photographs surrounded by our beautiful landscape views and gardens, or in our Ceremony Rooms. Use our recommended in house florist and room designer Lisa to design and create your wedding flowers. When the day is over, the joy will linger in its images and memories. Inside and out, we have locations that provide splendid backdrops for photographs you will treasure forever. We can offer our own styling consultations within our events team to help create your dream wedding.
Dining with us
Your wedding breakfast is the first meal you eat after you are joined together. Make it a special one. Whether your wedding party is large or small, our team of talented chefs have created menus to appeal to every taste. Perfect to serve to family and friends. The dining room is enchanting with its hand painted wall and private dining room. The new function suit complements the existing historic building with the stone walls and stunning views. This room is a beautiful space to create your dream wedding.
We also have a marquee which is stunning function suite, furnished with beautiful crystal chandeliers, white drapes and fairy lights. The marquee can accommodate up to 40 for a meal or up to 60 for a buffet the marquee is seasonal and weather depending. The hire of this room is from £540.00 to £1000.00 depending on what your requirements are. Both opulent venues in which to enjoy your meal. The bars are well stocked with a large variety of beers, wines and spirits. We can cater to a drinks requirements with pints from the pump (on request) to high end champagne, we are well prepared to look after you and your guests. As each wedding is different we don't have set menu's but we understand it important to get a rough idea of what available and a price idea. Party with us
Evening receptions to remember. If you have less than 30 guests the dining room is the prefect place to host your party. if you have a larger guest list the wedding suite is the perfect venue for your evening reception. Whatever the entertainment, you can enjoy the party of your life in a venue designed for you and your guests to let your hair down. To hire the wedding suite is from £135.00 per hour depending on your requirements. To hire the dinning room is from £500.00 up to £850.00 depending on your requirements.
Staying with us
When the dancing is done, you will need somewhere to rest your head. Our hotel accommodation is comfortable and welcoming. Carefully selected fixtures and fittings give you everything you need whilst you are away from home. There are rooms to suit every need, from single to double to family rooms.
We offer a range of different packages to suit each couple All Day Packages, Afternoon Packages, and Evening Packages. We also understand that as each wedding is unique to each couple we plan our packages to suit your needs, please ask a member of staff to assist you with building your tailor-made package.
21 beautifully furnished guest bedrooms are available at Grains Bar Hotel. Preferential rates are available to all guests attending your wedding. Several different room types are available to ensure all your guests are comfortably accommodated during their stay, whatever their individual requirements. You can be assured, your guests will receive a warm welcome from our efficient reception team, who will manage your group booking throughout your wedding planning. Please call us for details. We can create a package based on 6 guests staying over, Prosecco on arrival and a full breakfast with Bucks Fizz, plus a three-course meal the night before your wedding, in our restaurant. You and your bridesmaids (up to 6 guests) can enjoy pre-wedding celebrations in the privacy of our residents lounge. Check-in from 5pm. The next step
• Once you have chosen your date, we will provisionally hold your booking for up to 14 days. If you are having a Civil Ceremony, this will allow you time to contact the local registrar and check their availability for the date. At the end of the fourteen days we require a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit , along with a signed copy of our terms and conditions.
• 50% of the total estimated wedding costs must be paid 6 months prior to the wedding date. This will be calculated using the quotation issued upon booking.
• Approximately 6–10 weeks before your wedding, we will meet with you to discuss the final details. Following this appointment, a pro-forma invoice will be raised on the final numbers given and we politely ask that this is settled no later than 4 weeks prior to your wedding day.
• Please speak to your wedding coordinator as soon as possible about any allergies or specific dietary requirements. We cannot guarantee any foods are free from allergens, but we will do our best to accommodate special dietary requirements where required.
• Only food, beverages and alcohol purchased at the hotel can be consumed on the premises.
• We ask that 100% of guests attending are catered for, both for the wedding breakfast and evening buffet.
• All prices are correct at the time of printing. Bookings for weddings to be held in a future calendar year are subject to price increases calculated from the year in which the booking was made. We’d love to arrange an appointment for you to come and view the hotel.

We have some great gardens and if you want to use them to place a tipi we can arrange this for you with Event in a Tent
For beauty we have scenic hair and beauty who offer a wide range of beauty treatments, make-up and hair services for weddings. They can come to the hotel so you can relax in your room and be pampered for your special day. If your are looking for something extra we recommend Aesthetics by Nikki.
